Methodology

The same process, every time, for every client

We call it the Talmiro Method — not because it's exotic, but because a repeatable process is the only defence against advice that drifts with the market's mood.

01

Position

A full accounting of assets, liabilities, income and obligations — usually uncovering at least one thing the client hadn't connected to the bigger picture.

02

Model

We build a forward projection under at least three scenarios, stress-tested against inflation, currency movement and a market downturn, before any recommendation is written down.

03

Structure

Recommendations are converted into specific, sequenced actions — which account, which instrument, which filing, and by when — with SARS and FSCA requirements checked at each step.

04

Review

A standing quarterly check-in, not a courtesy call: we re-run the model against what's actually happened and adjust before drift becomes a problem.

Rationale

Why a named method, rather than ‘it depends’

Ask most advisors how they arrive at a recommendation and you'll get an answer shaped by whatever product they're closest to selling. We built the Talmiro Method precisely to remove that variable: the process is the same whether the outcome favours a retirement annuity, an offshore transfer, or doing nothing at all this year.

It also means a client can ask, at any point, exactly which phase they're in and what happens next — no black box, no 'trust us'. Nine years in, it's the reason clients tend to stay well past the first plan we write for them.
